Compassionate End-of-Life Care for Pets.

  • I became a veterinarian because I care deeply about the bond between people and their animals. Over the years, I came to realize that some of the most meaningful moments in veterinary medicine happen at the end of a pet’s life, when families need time, presence, and gentle guidance more than anything else.

  • In-home euthanasia allows pets to remain in a familiar, comfortable environment, surrounded by the people who love them most. It also allows families the space to grieve without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. My goal is to support both pets and people through this experience with compassion, clarity, and respect.

  • I take a calm, unhurried approach to every visit. I believe families deserve to understand what to expect, to have their questions answered honestly, and to feel supported every step of the way. There is no “right” way to say goodbye, and I work closely with each family to honor what feels most appropriate for them and their pet.

I’m Dr. Jill Thomason, a veterinarian providing compassionate in-home euthanasia and end-of-life care for pets and their families in the East Bay area.
